Adam Opel AG (Opel) is a German automobile manufacturer headquartered in Rüsselsheim, Hesse, Germany and a subsidiary of the American General Motors Company.The first Opel logo contained the letters "A" and "O" – the initials of the company's founder, Adam Opel.
